The Hill Country Disabled Group is a non-profit initiative managed by empowered members of the disabled community in the Badulla District of Sri Lanka.

Disabled people in the Hill Country of Sri Lanka remain unrepresented and live in severe poverty-stricken, isolated conditions, without proper medical care, educational opportunities or interaction with the outside world.

The Hill Country Disabled Group assists handicapped people of the Hill Country of Sri Lanka in terms of improving their living conditions, health, education, employment opportunities, and general well being so they may enjoy full rewarding lives and contribute to social and economic development;

The Hill Country Disabled Group leverages the ICT expertise of the Koslanda Telecentre's staff who are all disabled themselves, as well as the ICT facilities of other participating Telecenters. More details...
